About the Talk. The KiMo Theatre: Fact and Folklore The Majestic KiMo Theatre on Route 66. For ninety years, hundreds of thousands of adults and children have packed the KiMo theatre to watch ballet, drama, spoken- word, and to listen to poetry readings. Performers have acted, sung, danced, and spellbound audiences with magic. Local filmmakers flock there to watch their indie films come alive on the new silver screen.

About the Speaker. Jacqueline Murray Loring Jacqueline Murray Loring is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. Her acclaimed works include “The History of Bearing Children”, “KiMo Theatre: Fact and Folklore”, “Vietnam Veterans Unbroken: Conversations on Trauma and Resiliency”. Her poem “Wind Rose View” was included in the City of Albuquerque’s anthology, One Albuquerque, One Hundred Poets. In addition to writing movie scripts and stage plays, Loring served as script consultant/script supervisor for the films “House on Normal Street” and “Symphony in C-Note”.
