About this event
This class was formerly called “Child Intro”. This class continues skills in the Toddler class, as well as an entry point for 5-6 year olds. Youth Flamenco Foundations provides students with a structured introduction to authentic flamenco while establishing the technical, musical, and classroom skills needed for continued study. Through age-appropriate instruction, students develop confidence, coordination, rhythm, and beginning flamenco technique while learning the traditions and discipline of the art form. Using the Conservatory's Spiral Learning approach, students regularly review and reinforce previously learned material while gradually expanding their technical vocabulary and musical understanding. This class prepares students for formal study in Youth Flamenco 1.
