- ➤ UNM Facility Services worked with Lobo Energy Inc. to run a Winter Break Setback Program that reduced heating and cooling in unoccupied spaces across campus from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2. The initiative aimed to cut energy use when campus buildings were closed. University of New Mexico

- ➤ Albuquerque installed speed humps on 22 streets in 2025 near community parks to slow traffic, including on Avenida del Sol near Twin Parks. NMDOT is collecting input on bicycle and pedestrian safety via its survey closing Jan. 15 (the agency will complete a transportation blueprint by early spring). Albuquerque Journal
