- ➤ A new documentary series, Through Their Eyes: The History of Bernalillo County Fire & Rescue, spotlights the department's growth from nine paid firefighters to nearly 300 and will premiere today at Hiland Theater near San Mateo, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the screening set for 6:30 p.m. KOAT
- ➤ Harwood Art Center + ArtStreet of Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless present Entwined, an art exhibition showing playful and personal works from local artists. The exhibit runs Jan. 15–Feb. 21 with a free reception on Feb. 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 1114 7th St. SW. The Paper.

- ➤ UNM anthropologist Osbjorn Pearson analyzed rare Homo habilis fossils from Lake Turkana, Kenya (using 3D-printed bones) to reveal stronger arm features that bridge early and later humans, and his study published on Jan. 13 adds key insight to human evolution. University of New Mexico
