- ➤ In late January, Albuquerque was nominated for USA Today’s Best City for Street Art competition, a nod to local murals and public art that depict the region’s diverse cultures and history. - ➤ The University of New Mexico will build a new $600 million School of Medicine (330,000 sqft) at Lomas and University Boulevards to help ease the local healthcare provider shortage; construction finishes in spring with classes beginning in fall 2030. New Mexico Daily Lobo

- ➤ Albuquerque stays dry and warm today with highs in the mid-60s, though gusty winds and fire danger concern east central areas; rain will begin in Santa Fe on Wednesday and in Albuquerque on Friday + mountain snow is expected for northern regions. KOAT
- ➤ The UNM FiRES Center is teaming with state officials & Sandia National Laboratory to advance wildfire resilience as record-warm temperatures challenge New Mexico. - ➤ The legislature is considering the Clear Horizons Act (SB 18) to limit greenhouse gases via direct cuts or offsets, aiming for reduced emissions by 2030, 2040, and 2050.
