- ➤ New Mexico’s largest concert venue will be renamed First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater following a naming rights deal with FFCU and Live Nation. The new name and fan perks, including fast pass entry and ticket giveaways, will debut with Peso Pluma’s concert on Mar. 24. Albuquerque Journal
- ➤ Albuquerque's Isleta Amphitheater will be renamed the First Financial Credit Union Amphitheater for the 2026 season — the naming rights deal gives fans perks like Fast Lane entry and special events amid the Sandia Mountains. KOAT
- ➤ Duke City Repertory Theatre is debuting the Sin Límites New Works Festival (Feb. 18 to Feb. 28) where 11 short plays by local playwrights will be performed at community venues such as breweries to bring theater into familiar spaces. The Paper.

- ➤ Professor James Cavanagh of UNM has published a review on Reward Positivity, a brain signal that shows how surprising rewards trigger learning and guide choices between rewards and goals. - ➤ UNM Hospital updated campus signage when its new Critical Care Tower opened in 2025, removing Bill and Barbara Richardson’s names from the children’s pavilion. A petition had pressed for this change but hospital officials said it was part of a system-wide renaming for better wayfinding. Albuquerque Journal
- ➤ State lawmakers have debated two bills that address water reuse and drone restrictions. The produced water measure was tabled after a long debate and the drone ban voted down, while the Clear Horizons Act advanced to await a Senate vote - amid concerns for safety and environment. KUNM
- ➤ State environmental regulators announced on Wednesday that the Energy Department must speed up cleanup of legacy nuclear and hazardous waste at Los Alamos and face fines of up to $16 million for groundwater violations—an order aimed at remedying years-long delays and safeguarding local resources.
