- ➤ The University of New Mexico African American Student Services unveiled a designated hair shop at Mesa Vista hall on Feb. 12 to offer student-run braiding and styling services on campus - the new space supports student well-being and entrepreneurship. New Mexico Daily Lobo
- ➤ The University of New Mexico Black Student Union will soon publish a community newspaper to highlight Black history and report on current events. - ➤ On Friday, Feb. 13, Black leaders and lawmakers celebrated African American Day at the State Legislature with a performance of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' and a resource fair featuring local Black-led organizations, where Rep. - ➤ The ABQ BioPark Zoo added its new on-site CT scanner in December to improve animal care with 3D imaging. Vets now use it twice a week to check small animals up to 500 lbs instead of taking them off-site. New Mexico Daily Lobo
