- ➤ The UNM Office of Sustainability is engaging students and reforming campus practices with a five-year plan from Oct. 2025 to cut waste and improve building standards. - ➤ UNM School of Law Professor Cliff Villa was elected a fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers, an honor that recognizes his expertise in environmental law. The achievement marks a prestigious recognition for his contributions to the field. University of New Mexico

- ➤ Motorists should expect lane closures and delays on I-40 near Carnuel every weekend through May 3 due to ongoing bridge work, NMDOT said (officials urge extra caution in work zones). Albuquerque Journal

- ➤ Over 140 horseshoe pitchers from 14 states competed at the U.S. Open Horseshoe Regional Championships at Mariposa Basin Park from Friday to Sunday; local winner Ken Jones claimed the Class A title, and officials said they plan to return for future events. Albuquerque Journal
- ➤ Albuquerque native Bella Hines, one of the state's top hoops players, will transfer to TCU after her freshman season at LSU (averaging 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game). She now heads to Fort Worth to compete in the Big 12 alongside BYU star Sydney Benally. KOAT
