- ➤ Gathering of Nations will hold a new Disabilities Special competition for children with special needs on April 25, inspired by 12-year-old Tristan Brown (who has moderate to severe hearing loss) and his long-time love for the chicken dance. His family created the event to give these kids a fair chance to shine and show that differences can be a strength (ages 6 to 21). KOAT
- ➤ The Black Eagle Singers — a Grammy-winning Native American drum and dance group from Jemez Pueblo — will perform at the Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque and bring over 20 years of tradition and community spirit to the event. KOAT
- ➤ the bomb, an immersive multimedia installation by Smriti Keshari and Eric Schlosser, will visit UNM from April 30 to May 30 to explore the history and risks of nuclear weapons through an hour-long film on 45 screens. - ➤ Beginning Friday, Albuquerque Little Theater presents a stage adaptation of Stephen King’s 'Misery' at 224 San Pasquale Ave. SW that will run until May 11. - ➤ Albuquerque Public Schools and Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers have relaunched Campus Crime Stoppers to let students and staff report safety concerns anonymously—helping police address rising juvenile crime.
