Phil Chacon Park—honoring fallen APD officer Phil Chacon—reopened Saturday morning after two years of renovations.
Children played on the dragon-shaped, shaded playground while adults walked their dogs or rode bikes in the park.
At the Recyclothes event, Albuquerque youth and students received gently used garments donated to help meet their clothing needs.
The donations will support families facing limited clothing options.
🎭 Culture
Residents can watch the Eta Aquarid meteor shower when it peaks Tuesday morning—if skies are clear, you may see 10 to 15 fast meteors, though a nearly two-thirds full moon might reduce your view.
Debris from Halley’s comet creates the shower, which will last until May 28.
