- ➤ Albuquerque Public Schools board approved a record $2.35B budget on Wednesday despite declining enrollment. The plan cuts 290 full-time positions & will dip into reserves to meet a $16.1M deficit amid rising costs. KUNM

- ➤ Local experts say record low snowpack and high winter temperatures left New Mexico’s rivers short and wildfire risk elevated after an unusually dry winter * officials are closely monitoring water levels as hopes for spring runoff remain low. Source NM
- ➤ Since Wednesday, officials reported multiple sightings of a bear west of the Rio Grande, including near Corrales and a high school area. Wildlife and police officers will continue the search today — the animal remains elusive despite efforts using drones and patrols. Albuquerque Journal
