- ➤ Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced a new global business accelerator called the NMexus Center in Mesa del Sol to help international companies expand in Albuquerque during an investment summit in Maryland on Tuesday. Officials will host a ribbon cutting in late June — the center is expected to create nearly 100 jobs in its first year and up to 1,500 over five years while adding more than $400 million to the economy. - ➤ Albuquerque police arrested David Cervantes after responding to a kidnapping call on Yale Boulevard and Lead Avenue SE in late April when a speeding vehicle crashed and a woman fell from its hood—officers later recovered nearly $50,000 in cash and over 120,000 illegal pills including fentanyl, Xanax, and cocaine, and the suspect now faces felony charges for kidnapping and aggravated battery.
