- ➤ PNM’s parent company TXNM Energy reached an agreement Monday morning with Blackstone Infrastructure to support a transition to clean energy while keeping its headquarters and local employees in New Mexico. The deal is valued at over $11 billion—electric rates will continue to be set by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. KOAT

- ➤ Yesterday, Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman said Operation Route 66 on Central Avenue led to 700 arrests over 90 days—including 232 for violating release conditions and seven homicide suspects—with law enforcement seizing 52 illegal firearms, over 35,000 fentanyl pills and 61 stolen vehicles to target drug trafficking and repeat offenders. - ➤ Andy Doreste-Samuell was convicted Friday of vehicular homicide in an October 2023 street racing crash on Louisiana Northeast that killed Jenna Hamilton and another driver—police said the cars were speeding at 103 miles per hour and the crash seriously hurt two children and a 17-year-old passenger, with sentencing set for June 16. - ➤ Violet Rising — emerging from the Rio Grande Valley three years ago — has won local and global praise for its sultry, psychedelic heavy rock sound and pro-human messages.
