- ➤ An autopsy determined that a Kirtland airman was shot 16 times by fellow airmen during a February pursuit. Albuquerque Journal

- ➤ The Owl Cafe hosted a classic car show Saturday that raised donations for the New Mexico Make-A-Wish Foundation—Chris Oucero drove his original 1964 Chevrolet Impala and won second place, fulfilling a dream linked to his father's car. Owl Cafe owner Corey Moulton said he plans to hold more shows later this year. KOAT
- ➤ Thousands gathered today at the Pride Parade to celebrate community belonging and support acceptance and equality. Paraders danced and enjoyed activities at Civic Plaza—highlighting unity during the festive event. KOAT

- ➤ Biologists at the BioPark Aquatic Conservation Facility hatched 30,000 endangered silvery minnows from fertilized eggs amid dangerously low Rio Grande water levels in early May after rescuing fish from isolated pools. The facility sent the remaining eggs to a recovery center in Dexter following a pulse flow and natural spawning event that reinforced a two-decade program which has released more than one million minnows to protect the river’s ecosystem. - ➤ Today, the Albuquerque Police Department held its third Women in Blue event at the APD Academy on Second Street Northwest where women took part in an obstacle course and group run plus received fitness tips. The event challenged old ideas about women in policing and aimed to grow the number of local female officers, who now make up about 18% of the force. KOAT
- ➤ Interstate 40 was closed in both directions between Louisiana Boulevard and Wyoming Boulevard in Albuquerque due to a police situation that began just after 7 a.m. Saturday—officers directed eastbound traffic off at the Louisiana exit and westbound traffic off at the Wyoming exit. KOAT
- ➤ The Sandia Peak Tramway will donate $1 for each ticket sold from June 9 to 22 to help build a K-9 training track near Dan Webster Memorial Park—this project honors Rebel, the first APD K-9 officer killed in the line of duty, and supports further canine training efforts. KOAT

- ➤ The CDC warned after August Egg Company recalled 1,700,000 dozen brown and organic eggs that may be contaminated with salmonella—eggs sold at Walmart in Albuquerque with sell-by dates from March 4 to June 19 have been linked to 79 illnesses and 21 hospitalizations across seven states. KOAT
