- ➤ A former Albuquerque Police Department officer pleaded guilty in federal court to a longstanding conspiracy with a local attorney and paralegal — he was terminated in April for policy violations amid an ongoing DWI investigation by the FBI. KOAT
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Casa San Ysidro in Corrales, dating back to 1875, has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the New Mexico Cultural Properties Restoration Fund to replace the roofs on its north and west wings—this maximum grant is part of nearly $1.2 million given to eight projects, and work will be completed within two years. - ➤ Water managers in the Middle Rio Grande Valley said on June 14 that the only storage available—6,500 acre-feet of San Juan & Chama water—is expected to run dry by the end of June, which would force farmers to alter planting methods.
