EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Members of the Legislative Education Committee met on Thursday at New Mexico Highlands University campus in Las Vegas to review a brief showing only one in four students is proficient in math — the report detailed a drop from 32% proficiency in fifth grade to 12% by eleventh grade and urged universal math screening, enhanced teacher training, and more intervention programs.
