- ➤ An overnight fire broke out at Hinkle Fun Center on Indian School Road near Tramway Boulevard just before 2 a.m. Tuesday — firefighters brought the blaze under control within 25 minutes with no injuries and no cause determined. KOAT

- ➤ Roadrunner Venture Studios will host the third annual Roadrunner Technology Forum in Albuquerque to bring national tech leaders to see the state's labs, business ideas and research strength — officials say it will serve as a lighthouse for the state's tech industry — driving local innovation. - ➤ Pacific Fusion will start construction of its first New Mexico build center in Los Lunas later this year as part of the Mesa del Sol campus development, where the firm will manufacture components for its demonstration system. Albuquerque Journal

- ➤ The University of New Mexico College of Education & Human Sciences received a grant from the Department of Education to launch its E3 Program—an initiative that will fully fund 28 graduate students training to become special education teachers across New Mexico. - ➤ A recent report by Project InnerSpace and state agencies estimated that New Mexico could produce 163 gigawatts from its geothermal resources in counties like Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, and Taos—energy that may help reduce emissions and spur private-public investments. Energy officials say tapping into this renewable resource will require new mapping, infrastructure upgrades, and innovative financing to build more utility-scale plants. Source NM

- ➤ Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham announced that New Mexico will offer free universal childcare starting Nov. 1 — the program removes income limits, adds 2,000 childcare slots, and could save families up to $12,000 a year.
