- ➤ Professor Emily L. Jones (a UNM anthropology professor and director of the Zooarchaeology Lab) published her young adult novel Nahia that mixes archaeological facts with fiction. She is now developing a new class called Archaeology, Science and Imagination for 2026 to 2027 (balancing academic work with creative storytelling) and working on a scholarly book about New Mexico history.
