  • At To'hajiilee Community School—where community members gather each year—language arts teacher Sharon Arviso oversaw the turkey-in-the-hole event as turkeys were slow-roasted in earthen pits with burning cedar wood behind the school.  Albuquerque Journal
  • Albuquerque will host several local craft and maker fairs this holiday season as shoppers can find handmade gifts at events like the Goods & Gratitude Market at El Vado Motel and Holigay Market at Plata Coffee on Nov 29. More markets are scheduled for Dec 6, Dec 7, Dec 12, Dec 13–Dec 21, Dec 14, and Dec 20 at venues including Lodge Venue, FUSE Makerspace, Tractor Brewery, the Eurozone Store, and Humble Coffee Company.  The Paper.

HEALTH NEWS

  • At UNM Children's Hospital, young patient Lexi Hargrove celebrated her birthday and Thanksgiving as staff and UNM student athletes served a festive meal to nearly 300 families. Hospital caregivers provided turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and red chile — offering support during Lexi's first operating room experience — and brought comfort during a challenging time.  KOAT
