Youth Cante

About this event

Youth Cante introduces students to the art of flamenco singing and its essential role in flamenco dance. Designed for students enrolled in Youth Flamenco 2–4, this class helps young dancers develop a deeper understanding of the music, rhythm, and traditions that shape the flamenco art form. Through singing, listening, and musical exploration, students learn how the cante guides the structure, phrasing, and expression of the dance. Studying cante strengthens musicality, improves rhythmic awareness, and helps students become more confident, expressive, and well-rounded flamenco artists.
