Bata 1

About this event

Bata de Cola 1 is designed for students ages 13 and older who are beginning their study of the traditional flamenco bata de cola, as well as students advancing from Youth Bata de Cola. Whether students are learning bata de cola for the first time or building upon previously acquired skills, this class develops the strength, coordination, balance, and technical precision required to dance confidently and artistically with the bata. Students refine the relationship between body alignment, footwork, musicality, and bata technique while learning progressively more complex movement patterns and choreography. Because successful bata de cola dancing requires exceptional posture, lower-body strength, and control, concurrent enrollment in Adult Ballet or Conditioning is required to support safe and effective training.
